ADHD & Autism

ADHD

  • Is it even more stressful when you are told to do those things that don’t work for you?

  • Are you tired of getting in even more trouble when people’s suggestions aren’t working?

  • Is your thought process comparable to a spider web where one thought connects with a million other ideas?

  • Do people think you can’t focus when the problem is you are focused on everything all the time all at once?

  • Do people see you as overreacting when in reality, few listened when you said you were overwhelmed?

With the support you need, you are unstoppable!

I work with my clients to unpack the negative messages they have received about their ADHD traits so they can make room for self-esteem and tools they need to accomplish their goals. An ADHD mind can spark creativity and innovation however without support and the right tools, this often is seen to others as “scatter brained”. I provide education and evidence-based interventions while prioritizing the incorporation of customized solutions for your everyday struggles.

I often hear from clients that they have tried a multitude of things recommended to them by professionals that has yet to work. The common flaw I see is that those recommendations don’t take into consideration YOUR family dynamic, YOUR limitations, and YOUR strengths. Truly listening to my clients, has been the key difference for them to be able to achieve their goals as a neurodivergent individual.

Autism

  • Are you always in fear of being labeled harsh, picky, sensitive, insensitive, “anti-social”, or a “nerd” for always liking a specific topic?

  • Does it feel like there’s either no support or all the support is just about a performance?

  • Is it rare for people to get you or for you to get people?

  • Do you get frustrated with your self when it feels like you are smart enough to do it but just can’t?

  • Or do others think that you are being “hard headed” when they see how smart you but aren’t able to do “simple stuff”?

Your struggle may feel as if it’s invisible to others, but I see you.

People with Autism should be able to EXPERIENCE LIFE as an autistic person, not suffer from autism. The world can be full of triggers which causes a lot of anxiety for those with autism.  Many learn to cope with it by MASKING. But when you no longer are able to mask, you shutdown or melt down. This is often the struggle of undiagnosed autism and moderate to low support needs autistic people. Sadly, this leads to increased rates of DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, SUICIDAL IDEATIONS, SELF HARM and SUICIDE according to recent studies. However, when you work with an expert who makes it their job to understand and support you instead of FIX you, you’ll find the tools needed to TRANSFORM your life.

Deciding to work with me gives you a shot at a life where autism doesn’t limit you but instead enables you to accomplish your goals. All while simply being able to ENJOY the brain and body you are in. In my practice, we utilize SOMATIC BASED interventions and SENSORY BASED strategies to help you navigate the world. Coupled with CBT which helps you understand yourself within this world, this allows my clients finally experience a sense of peace while being the BEST version of themselves FOR THEMSELVES.
